Carrageenan is a multi-functional ingredient used across many sectors; including food, pet food and even technical\/industrial. It comes in three main types: Lamba, Kappa and Iota.<\/p>

Each have different characteristics and are determined by which species of seaweed that the carrageenan has been derived from, including both cold and warm water species.<\/p>
